Elgin Café Bridge

Thursday 28th August 2025

We are pleased to announce Elgin's inaugural Café Bridge Day, organised by Nichola Maasdorp, with the help of Victor Lesk for the benefit of Clan Cancer Support. The sun always shines on Café Bridge, and it is impossible not to have a good time, especially in the company of Scotland's friendliest bridge players.

Highlights of the day:

  • Registration in Elgin Bridge Centre with welcome coffee/tea and biscuits
  • 24 hands of bridge played in six to eight venues (cafes/restaurants/hotels) with short walks in between
  • Lunch at your mid-day venue
  • Raffle on behalf of Clan Cancer Support, drawn while results are being finalized

Registration will take place in Elgin Bridge Centre, 1 Academy Street, Elgin IV30 1LP between 10.15 and 11.00 am on Thursday morning for a 11:00am start to play. Players will be issued with a map and a movement card. Play is scheduled to finish at 4:00pm.

Scores are entered by players on their phones using the BriAn app-based scoring system. This allows us to declare a winner very soon after the last board is played. If you have not come across BriAn before, you can find out more here.

Please contact us with any questions about the event. We look forward to welcoming you on 28th August.
